I have a love/hate affair with Sunday afternoons. On one hand, Sunday is usually the one day of the week in which I have no plans and no place I have to be. On the other, it is a reminder that the weekend is almost over and I have a full five day work week ahead of me.
Today I spent time shopping at the local Wal-Mart Supercenter. I know many people consider Wal-Mart to be either the world’s most evil corporation, or place where you can see the most hoosier-like citizens of this fine country (see People of Wal-Mart). I personally love it. While I enjoy shopping at Target more than anything, there is something to be said for a place where you can buy a pint of strawberries, underwear, potting soil and a new set of tires, all in the same shopping trip.
It’s a most lovely day today. Low 80s, sunny and low humidity. Extremely rare for this time of year. I think Sadie and I will go sit on the balcony and read a book. Well, I’ll read, she’ll just lay on her blanket and sunbathe and ponder life’s dog mysteries.
